Brittany Granados and Andy Granados Car Accident: Twality Middle School 7th grader dead after tragic Saturday crash.

Tualatin High School and Twality Middle School are mourning the tragic and sudden death of a student on Saturday evening.

According to a statement release from Twality’s principal, Susan Kosmala and Tualatin HS principal, Michael Dellerba; Brittany Granados, a 10th grader at Tualatin High School, is in serious condition and her brother, Andy Granados, a 7th grader at Twality Middle School, died in the accident that happened on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

“Dear Twality & Tualatin High Families & Students, We are writing to share some very sad news with you that impacts our community. We received information this morning that two of our students, a brother and sister, were involved in a fatal accident last evening. We do not have full details at this time, however some information has been released locally and we want to make sure you received communication from us,” the statement said.

“This is heartbreaking news for our community. We know this news will affect our students in different ways. Some may not know Brittany or Andy very well and may not be as affected, while others may experience a great deal of shock, sadness, anxiety, and anger. Feeling sad is a normal response to any loss. Any death, even if the person wasn’t known to you, can bring up feelings and emotions related to other losses.”

“Please know that we are putting a District team together to support our schools and to help our staff, students, and most importantly, the Granados-Villegas family navigate this unimaginable tragedy. Our school counselors and the District Flight Team, a group of specially-trained counselors and mental health specialists, will provide support in our buildings on Monday to any student who needs it.”
